\r\nTextbook and Assigned Readings: For the first half of the module we will be reading a lot from a scholarly work called Muslim Rulers and Rebels by Thomas McKenna (Berkeley: University of California Press, 1998), which is available online in e-book format (printable). There is no textbook to buy. All required readings and supplementary materials are available for free either through the Workbin, on the internet, or the Central Library.
