Lead discussants will choose topics and read readings for their discussion weeks. Lead discussants will prepare handouts with summary of the readings with critical key questions to be addressed for the whole class. This class will have 3~4 lead discussants per reading and each&nbsp; discussant will be given 20-30 minutes.<br>\r\n\tLead discussants are expected to <u>upload their handouts to IVLE at least 2</u><strong><u>4 hours prior to class</u></strong><u>.</u> <u>All late submission of material will receive</u><strong><u> 30% of deduction</u></strong><u> in grade.</u><br>\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<strong>Students Participation (15%)</strong><br>\r\n\tAll students, whether they are lead discussants or not, are expected to read all the assigned readings before class. Forum discussion is also counted as participation, though its weightage is different from that of in class participation.<br>\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<strong>Research Paper (20%)</strong><br>\r\n\tStudents will write a research paper, presenting creative ideas and reasoning about a topic chosen from this module. The research paper should reflect the current, significant communication phenomena in organizations, address key issues, propose research questions/hypotheses, and outline the research plan (research methods and designs, data collection and analysis), and state the possible contribution of their paper to the academia or practitioner (or both). <u>All late submission of material will receive</u><strong><u> 30% of deduction</u></strong><u> in grade.</u><br>\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<strong>Research Paper Presentation (5%)</strong><br>\r\n\tStudents will present their paper to the class to exchange creative and critical comments about the topics and issues. Presenters must prepare powerpoint slides of their presentation to the class, 24 hours prior to their presentation.<br>\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<strong>Final Exam (35%)</strong><br>\r\n\tFinal exam, open book exam, tests on the all topics and issues discussed during the class.
