\r\nThis module is designed to help students understand key issues about e-learning technologies and how they can be effectively integrated into teaching and learning in both educational and organizational contexts. This course emphasizes both theories and practices of e-learning. It surveys contemporary studies about human learning theories, computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL), motivation, etc. It also introduces students to practical aspects of e-learning such as planning, designing, and implementation of new learning technologies. This course incorporates principles of e-learning in its classroom. Unlike traditional courses, students will play a very active role in a learning community by participating in various forms of computer-supported collaborative learning activities, such as group projects, online group discussions, and case studies.

\n\tEvaluation/Grading:
\n\tGrades will be based on
\n\t55%: Final exam which is composed of essay questions
\n\t45%: CA which is composed of (1) Class/tutorial participation and attendance (15%), and (2) Group project (30%)

\n\tFinal Exam (55%)
\n\tFinal Exam will cover lectures, tutorial discussions/materials, and assigned readings.

\n\tClass/Tutorial/Online discussion Participation (15%):
\n\tStudents’ active participation is critical, both for their own learning and for their contribution to the class. During lecture, there might be short small-group activities and discussion. Much of the tutorial work involves exercises, learning activities, and small-group discussions. On-time tutorial session attendance is required. Absences without satisfactory explanation will result in reduction of the participation portion of your grade. The class will have an online discussion forum for informal discussion of topics related to the class.
