It critically examines questions such as the following: What are the causes and consequences of human trafficking in the region? What are the different forms of trafficking (e.g., sex trafficking, forced labour, child soldiers)? How does trafficking involve human rights and to what extent are these rights enforced? How do governments, the media, and others portray trafficked persons – and more importantly, how do they portray themselves?
